Misfortune is a roleplaying game that focuses on character. It employs simple and novel rules to give the feeling of agency to the players, where what happens to their character is truly in their own grasp.

The players are their own greatest allies and worst enemies. They decide their characters’ fates, in both good and ill.

Misfortune is a game that takes features of media, like foreshadowing, character revelations and plot armor, in order to create an unique playing experience where the players are the centerpiece of their own story.

Misfortune - Dramatic Roleplaying is an unique game with:

• A simple resolution system based on 2d6, where difficulty is based on narrative stakes.
• Misfortune: You can reroll indefinitely, gaining more Misfortune in the process and causing you to be in more and more of a risk.
• No character creation: You create your characters as you play, starting out with an empty character sheet.
• Game mechanics based on narrative elements: Foreshadowing, Plot Armor and Revelations are legitimate game mechanics.
• A comic book -style layout.
